Declarations for TODAY!!

Read and recite these every day, and watch what God does in your life!!

“I declare the Perfect Will of God over my life today; I declare the Life of Jesus over my day!  I declare today, that as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. My desires and passions are aligned with His desires and passions for me, and I declare that nothing appeals to me, that would not appeal to Jesus. Continue reading →

Redemption from Financial Tragedy

Last night my family and I were playing a game and I had an epiphany.  The story of “The Prodigal Son” popped into my head and the thought came to me that the story is just as much about a financial tragedy as it is a “moral” tragedy. Continue reading →

Writing Dreams …

I finally took the time this morning to write my dreams..

To be honest, it took me this long to do this because even though my name is “Joy” I can be a little melancholy at times and feel like all that stuff I’ve carried in my heart for sooooo long will nnnnever happen! Anyone relate to that?

One and The Same

Testimonies and worship are in my thoughts today. Maybe as I sit here for a few minutes I can make them come together a bit more for they really are one in the same.

A testimony is a story that tells the truth of an occurrence. While it can be used to tell any form of fact, it is most commonly referred to in telling of things God has done. In so telling it becomes a form of worship simply by letting others know of God’s greatness.

Worship on the other hand is a way of demonstrating God’s goodness. Demonstrations encompass singing, dancing and all forms of creative expression. In doing so it becomes something of a testimony. Continue reading →

God Loves YOU!

A couple of weeks ago; actually it was the day of that fateful and entirely uneventful tire blow out, I had spent the day with my fellow peers at a church seminar. The discussions and teachings of the day centered around how we as church leaders can help people in letting go of the things that haunt them and cripple them from being all that they can be.
I thoroughly enjoyed the day as well as all of the knowledge I received. It is always a good thing to learn more on how to be able to help and encourage people. And don’t we all know that that sometimes the best of information needs to be applied to ourselves first before we can help others?

It turns out that this was such a day for me. Continue reading →

$175,000 Debt Wiped out!

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever.” Philippians 4:19-20

You know, God is really amazing. We get ourselves into situations by doing things our own way and not His way. But, when we ask Him for help, and totally give over control, our Father will always come through. This my personal story of an incredible breakthrough.

Computer Printer Healed!

After months of not being able to use my printer/scanner, my husband and I decided that we would have to buy another one at some time in the future. My husband had been out of a job for 7 months, so it was not something we would be doing soon. I decided to lay hands on it, Continue reading →

Healing of 30yr Ailment

This February of 2010, I experienced a healing in two areas of my body. After at least 30 years of having a very large planters wart on the bottom of my foot I discovered that it was completely gone! A small cyst just outside my right eye is also completely gone! Praise God!

Nothing is too hard for God!

Job 10:12 (NKJ version) says, “You have granted me life and favor and your care has preserved my spirit.” What an amazing thing for Job to say in the midst of losing his family, possesions as well as unbelievable physical suffering.. Whatever you are going through today, remember God the Father who created you and gave you life will preserve your spirit and He can turn your situation completely around … just like He did for Job.

I like God’s Economy

Last night, my wife and I were moved to offer a “love gift” to some friends of ours.  As we were praying for them, God instructed us on the $$ amount and to “do it now”.  We obeyed.  Then the fun began …
